Designed for security and performance, Windows 11 in S mode exclusively runs apps from the Microsoft Store. However, if you wish to install an application not available in the Microsoft Store, you will need to switch out of S mode.

To switch out of S mode on your Windows 11 PC: 1. Open the Settings app, then navigate to System > Activation. 2. In the "Switch to Windows 11 Pro" section, select "Go to the Store." (Caution: If you also see an "Upgrade your edition of Windows" section, do not click the "Go to the Store" link there.) 3.
